When I can’t get to the beach to swim in the sea I revert to dry skin brushing.  Dry skin brushing helps to move and clear the lymphatic system aswell as removing cellular waste from the body.  I use a body brush similar to the one below.  By moving the lymph , stagnation can be cleared and will benefit symptoms such as fatigue, constipation and an over active immune system.  Great to clear the sinuses and help relieve respiratory congestion.

This practice is best done before a morning shower.  Brush towards the heart and start at the feet in circular movements towards the hearts flow.  Long strokes can be used on the arms and legs.  Massage from the feet, to torso to neck and hands to shoulders.  Where the skin is thin use light pressure.

Don’t use this practice if you have psoriasis or eczema on the skin or any issues with the skin.

A healthy metabolism is encouraged, detoxification happens, cellulite areas are stimulated and circulation is enhanced.

I would use this method 3 times a week.  When I get into the shower after dry brushing I usually do a few cycles of hot and cold water to further benefit the process.
